

Hannaleah Ledwell (b.1991) is a multidisciplinary artist born and based in Tiohtià:ke/ Mooniyang/ Montreal. Her current work focuses on the relationship between physicality, memories and painting. She examines notions of intimacy, interiority and the representation of the female body through the female gaze. She studied at the University of Lapland, Finland and Concordia University, Montreal from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2017.
Her work has been shown at Studio XX during the Art Matters festival (2016), at Quai 5160 – Maison de la culture de Verdun as part of Optimista: Ciné-conférences pour de meilleurs lendemain (2023) as well as at the Relate-North Symposium in Norway (2014) and the Environmental Art Festival in Koli, Finland (2015). Her work has recently been exhibited at POPOP Gallery in the Belgo building in Montreal.
